Abstract Palladium complex-catalyzed elimination of acetic acid from (2E,4E)-2,4-hexadienyl acetate and (2E, 4E, 6E)-2,4,6-octatrienyl acetate afforded, respectively, the title conjugated polyenes stereoselectively.
