Abstract

In order to replace the conventional tin palladium activation method, which is expensive and causes significant pollution when used to prepare conductive polyester fabric, silane coupling agents (SCAs) KH550 and KH792 are used to form self-assembly film on the surface of polyester fabric. A catalytic active center is created to initiate electroless plating after silver ions are adsorbed and reduced by formaldehyde. Finally, the conductive polyester fabric is prepared by electroless copper plating. The amount of SCAs grafted on polyester is preliminarily calculated by the reaction of ninhydrin with amino group. The copper coating with 25 % mass fraction of SCAs grows better than 20 %. Meanwhile, KH792 has a better copper plating effect than KH550 and the highest conductivity of copper-coated fabric is 1065 S/cm.
