Abstract
The 68Zn( γ, p) 67Cu reaction by the use of an isotopically enriched 68Zn (98.97%) target has proved to be useful for the preparation of the carrier-free 67Cu in a high radionuclidic purity. The production rates of 67Cu and contaminants were determined as a function of the maximum bremsstrahlung energies between 30 and 60 MeV; the chemical separation of the carrier-free 67Cu and the recovery of the 68Zn target were also studied.
