Abstract

Three-dimensional amorphous silver lug-like CoNi2S4 electrode materials have been designed and synthesised by the sacrificial template method. Through a clever combination of Ni2+ induced template deficiency and sulphidation reactions, the rearrangement of the electronic structure can be promoted, generating more defects. The Ni element-doped electrode significantly improves the capacitance due to the bimetallic synergy and has a high mass specific capacitance of 1351 F g −1 at a current density of 4 A g −1. The specific capacitance was 1111 F g −1 at a current density of 20 A g −1, showing an excellent multiplicative performance (82.2%).
