Abstract
Fe-Co-rich α1 and Al-Ni-rich α2 ribbons were compounded by hot isostatic pressing and hot rolling in a ratio of 2:1, subsequently, the Alnico alloys were subjected to traditional heat treatment. This new composite method solved the problem of the uncontrollable ratio of α1 to α2 phase in Alnico alloy and can form a two-phase embedded microstructure, especially the saturation magnetization of the alloy can be significantly improved. However, the coercivity decreases due to the small aspect ratio of α1 phase and coarse phase size, this needs further improvement. Besides, the effects of temperature, pressure and magnetic field on the diffusion direction of elements are disclosed.
