Abstract

AbstractAlthough there are different kind of tools to fight against cyber attackers, there is one vulnerability that is exploited daily due to the nature that it represents and the damage which might cause, the human being. Studies claim people are the weakest link in a security chain, so intrusions might occur taking advantage of this, leading cybercriminals to enter into organizations and provoking several damages. For a successful attack, it is important a well thought out plan, a good analysis of the target and a great performance. In this research two Social Engineering Techniques will be presented, USB dropper and impersonation using hardware and software to collect data from a target’s PC, demonstrating how attacks are born and how are they implemented on the field.KeywordsImpersonationUSB dropperSocial engineeringBad USB
