Abstract1,3‐Bis(2,4,6‐tri‐t‐butylphenyl)‐1,3‐diphosphaallene (1) reacted with elemental sulfur under wet reaction conditions to give cis‐ and trans‐2,4‐bis(2,4,6‐tri‐t‐butylphenyl)‐1,2,4‐thiadiphosphetane 2,4‐disulfide (cis‐2 and trans‐2) and cis‐2,4‐bis(2,4,6‐tri‐t‐butylphenyl)‐1,2,4‐oxadiphosphetane 2,4‐disulfide (cis‐3). The structure of cis‐3 was determined by X‐ray crystallography, and the cis/trans isomerization of 2 was studied.
