Abstract
Abstract In KNbO3 ceramics rendered semiconductive by additions of K2O-GeO2 glasses two PTC anomalies are observed: at the Curie point and in the vicinity of the orthorhombic-tetragonal phase transition. ‘These results are explained on the basis of Heywang-Jonker model of the PTC effect modified to take account of intergranular layers of glassy phase and spontaneous polarization in grains.
