Abstract
The two-coordinate palladium complex, (Ph 3P) 2Pd, is successfully prepared by the reaction of {(η 3-allyl)Pd(PPh 3) 2} + PF 6 − with Ph 2MeSiLi. The complex has been characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 31P NMR, and UV spectroscopy. Oxidative- and coordinative-addition reactions to the two-coordinate palladium(0) complex are also described.
