Abstract

Abstract Recently nanofluids are gaining attention in the heat transfer domain due to some of their unique properties. Nanofluids are found to have improved heat transfer ability when compared to traditional heat transfer fluids. In the present study we have examined the thermophysical properties of SiO2/water based nanofluids such as particle size, viscosity and heat transfer behaviours. The study was carried out using instruments like Brookfield viscometer and KD2Pro Thermal Analyzer
