Abstract

Transparent side-chain fluorinated polyurethane (SC-FPU) elastomers were prepared by using side-chain fluorine-containing polyether polyol, N210, isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), and chain extender as main materials through prepolymerized method. The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), tensile testing and contact angle analyzer were used to investigate the chemical structure, heat resistant, tensile properties, and surface property of SC-FPU elastomers with different fluorine content. The results indicated that SC-FPU elastomers had good heat resistant, mechanical, and surface property. The fluorine content had more influence on the properties of SC-FPU elastomers.
