Abstract

Ternary europium complex Eu(TTA)3Phen and quaternary europium complex Eu(BA)(TTA)2Phen were synth- esized in ethanol absolute with europium(Eu), benzoic acid(BA), α-thenoyltrifluoroacetone(TTA) and 1,10-phenant- hroline(Phen). Fluorescent Falsification-resistant inks were prepared with the synthesized fluorescent agents. IR spectrum analysis showed that these complexes collocate with Eu ions. The fluorescence property of the rare earth europium complexes were studied at ambient temperature. When the Eu(TTA)3Phen complex was excited by a wavelength of 382nm and the Eu(BA)(TTA)2Phen that of 383nm, they exhibited strong red emissive color and the peaks were at 612nm, the Eu characteristic peak was at 612nm. Rare earth europium complexes and fluorescent falsification-resistant inks appeared red under ultraviolet light and the fluorescence of Eu(TTA)3Phen is stronger than that of Eu(BA)(TTA)2Phen by the study of Fluorescence Property.
