Abstract

Nitric dioxide (NO/sub 2/) is one kind of toxic gas in the atmosphere which does great harm to the environment and the health of humans. So, it is very important to obtain the concentration of NO/sub 2/ in the environment timely and accurately, so as to monitor and protect the environment. Because of the high sensitivity and high selectivity of phthalocyanine (Pc), it has been widely studied. Here, a novel kind of CuPc/ZnO hybrid composite gas-sensitive film prepared by vacuum evaporation is studied. The results show that CuPc/ZnO hybrid composite films have good gas-sensitivity to NO/sub 2/, good selectivity and short response time. The resistivity decreases 3-4 order of magnitude compared with pure CuPc film. At the same time, the sensitivity mechanism of CuPc/ZnO hybrid composite films and the influential factors are primarily studied.
