Abstract
A simple and versatile approach decorated TiO2 nanoparticles on the surface of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNTs) was reported. MWNTs can be continuously coated by the layer of anatase TiO2 nanoparticles with the thickness of about 20 nm by the assistance of salicylamide. Moreover, anatase TiO2 nanoparticles with the size of about 10 nm are uniformly deposited on MWNTs by using microwave radiation. The synthetic MWNTs/ TiO2 hybrids have been proven to be very high photocatalytic ability for methyl orange (MO) without any additional treatment.
