Abstract

We have successfully prepared the luminescent material of Sr 2 (P 2 O 7 ):Ce3+, Tb3+ by the method of the chemical co-precipitation. The phase structure, surface morphology and fluorescence properties were investigated by the scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and photoluminescence (PL). It showed that the luminescent material is composed of the pure Sr 2 (P 2 O 7 ) phase, and there no phases of rare earth phosphate appeared. The SEM micrographs showed uniform particles with good crystallinity of luminescent material synthesized at 1100°C. PL spectrum showed the luminescent material fluorescence effect best with n Sr : n Tb = 100: 1, n Tb : n Ce =2:3, sintering at 1100°C, the optimal heat preservation time was 3h.
