Abstract

In this paper, cyan BaLaGa3O7: Bi3+ phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reaction method at 1400 °C. The crystal structure, elemental composition and optical properties were characterized and studied. The results of X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy and infrared spectroscopy indicate the successful synthesis of BaLaGa3O7: Bi3+ phosphors with the pure phase. The BaLaGa3O7: Bi3+ phosphors show wide band emission corresponding to the 3P1→1S0 transition of Bi3+ when excited at 328 nm.
