Abstract

The Co–P/SrFe12O19 magnetic nanocomposite powder was prepared by electroless plating enhanced by ultrasonic wave agitation. The morphology, crystal structure and microwave absorption properties of the Co–P coated powder were studied using field emission scanning electron microscopy, XRD, EDX and a vector network analyser. The results show that the powder possesses excellent microwave absorption properties. The maximum microwave loss of the composite powder reaches −27·1 dB. The bandwidth with the loss above −20 dB reaches 1·6 GHz.
