Abstract

The preparation of an inactivated subunit vaccine against Aujeszky’s disease virus infection is described. The vaccine contained at least four immunoprecipitating virus antigens, stimulated neutralising antibody and conferred complete protection against cutaneous challenge with live virus in vaccinated mice.
