Abstract

Summary. Preparation of factor IX concentrate according to Soulier proved to offer no technical difficulties. The factor IX concentration averaged 10–20 times that in an identical volume of normal plasma. Haemorrhagic complications in haemophilia B can be adequately controlled with this concentrate. The erythrocytes of donor blood used in the preparation of factor IX concentrate can be used for transfusion purposes.
