Abstract

The objective of this investigation is to assess the grain size and lattice strain of pure strained Al nanopowder synthesized through the ball milling method. The evaluation is performed using the Williamson-Hall method. Lattice strain is induced in the powder through repetitive grinding. In this study, a notable finding is that the Debye-Waller factor exhibits a positive correlation with the lattice strain. The effective Debye-Waller factor (DWF) for zero strain has been precisely calculated in this research, taking into account the relationship between strain and DWF. Moreover, the researchers have investigated the influence of lattice strain on the energy required for vacancy generation.
