Abstract

Some new complexes of chromium(III), cobalt(III) and rhodium(III) containing 1,4,8,12-tetra-azacyclopentadecane and imido ligands have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, conductometric, magnetic, IR and electronic spectral studies. The complexes have the general formula trans-[ML(im) 2]ClO 4 [where M = chromium(III), cobalt(III) or rhodium(III); L = 1,4,8,12-tetra-azacyclopentadecane; im = anion of succinimide (sim − or phthalimide (pim −)]. A proposed trans configuration for the complexes is supported by spectral data.
