Abstract
Carbon supported Ru−Pb bimetallic catalysts are prepared by reduction of Pb2+ ions, under hydrogen flow, in the presence of Ru/charcoal catalysts. This reaction is interpreted as an underpotential deposition (U.P.D.). Oxygen adsorption and temperature programmed reduction of that oxygen by hydrogen show that the two metals are in interaction.
