Abstract

A new shell microencapsulated phase change materials (MEPCMs) were prepared by interfacial polymerization, and butyl stearate and polyurethane were employed as core material and shell material, respectively, while polyurethane shell was reacted by isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), triethanolamine (TEA). The surface morphology and chemical structure of MEPCMs were investigated by SEM, FTIR. The results show that the morphology of the prepared microcapsules was approximately spherical, and the surface of the prepared microcapsules was compact but concave, and has good thermal storage properties. When the continuous drying time point is at 120°C for 6 hours, the weight loss of MEPCMs was only 5.77%.
