Abstract

In this work, copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) polymers of excellent electrical conductivity were successfully prepared via a high temperature sintering procedure, the chemical structures and morphology of obtained CuPc polymers were characterized by FTIR and SEM, respectively. Thereafter, CuPc/polyarylene nitrile ethers (PEN) composite films were prepared via solution-casting method. The obtained films show excellent thermal, mechanical and dielectric properties due to the good dispersion and compatibility of conductive CuPc polymers in PEN matrix, which was confirmed by the SEM characterization.
