Abstract

High T c Bi(Pb)SrCaCuO thin films have been made on MgO substrates by single target RF sputtering. The best film showed sharp XRD peaks indexed to (00 n), indicating that the film is C-axis oriented, with onset and zero resistance at 100 K and 80.2 K, respectively. The microwave response of the film with a constriction indicated the presence of Josephson type weak links limiting the critical current density.
