Abstract
Glues are important adhesives obtained from animal source. They find extensive use in industry, offices and the home. We find a lot of animal waste in the system that is fit for this purpose. In this work, therefore, glues were prepared using cow and sheep bones. Physical properties and chemical constituents of the products were determined. Some of these physical properties determined included viscosity, melting point, adhesive strength, keeping quality and performance. Glues from both sources showed close values for these properties. Chemical constituents determined included fat content, gelatine content, chloride and grease contents and pH of solution.
