Abstract

Cobaloximes containing diphenylglyoxime and neutral bases containing carboxylic acid and N-Succinimidyl ester groups have been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic techniques. The electrochemical properties of the synthesized cobaloximes were studied. Cobaloxime complex containing substituted aniline as a base has been attached covalently to the electrode surface through amide linkage. The immobilization of the metal complex has been confirmed by cyclic voltammetry and the grafted metal complex is stable as indicated by the multiscan experiments.
