Abstract
We have investigated single layer and sandwich type bi-layer barium hexa-ferrite films for magnetic computer disc applications on SiO2 coated silicon glass. Coercivity can be controlled by varying the thickness of BaFe12O19. Barium hexa-ferrite films were deposited by rf sputtering at room temperature on c-axis oriented platinum films. The films exhibited good magnetic properties.
