Abstract

A new method for the development of Electrochromic fabric (ECF) based on polyaniline, instead of traditional Electrochromic device (ECD), is presented in this paper. The transparent conductive layer of ECF is replaced by the conductive fabric; copper coated fabric is used as cathode materials in our experiments. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Ultraviolet spectrum analysis, Circulation current-voltage and Electrochemical spectrum have been used to characterize the properties of ECD and assembled ECF. Our experimental results show that the electrochromic properties of the ECD and ECF assembled in our experiments can be improved obviously.
