Abstract

Abstract A number of compounds have been prepared which contain both an antioxidant function and a polymerizable function in the same molecule. These compounds, which include representatives of both amine and phenolic antioxidants, were designed to be used as comonomers in the preparation of emulsion rubbers. Oxygen absorption tests in SBR-1006 show that these compounds exhibit antioxidant activity typical of the class of antioxidant, i.e., amine or phenol, to which they belong.
