Abstract
Summary 1. A case of measles encephalitis preceding the Koplik spots is reported.The initial symptom occurred eleven days before the height of the exanthem. 2. The course of the encephalitis resembled cerebellar or labyrinthine involvement. 3. Recovery was rapid and spontaneous as soon as the exanthem appeared.
