Phytochemical screening of methanol leaf extract of Ficus asperfolia showed the presence of flavonoids, alkaloids and triterpenes amongst other secondary metabolites and plausibly, the antiinflammatory and analgesic actions produced by the extract could be attributed to these phyto-constituents
