Abstract A stack of 30 plastic sheets-eighteen 250μ thick and four 125μ thick Zelux polycarbonate (i.e. stress relieved Lexan) sheets and eight 250μ thick Daicel cellulose nitrate sheets–was flown on July 2, 1968, in 1.5g/cm2 altitude for 10 hours from Fort Churchill, Canada. 8 per cent of the area was covered on both sides by 600μ thick Ilford G5 emulsions.
