Abstract

Deuterium neutral beam injection is playing an important role in magnetic confinement fusion research at present. A preliminary result of beam species is obtained by using Doppler shift spectroscopy on the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) neutral beam injector. Typical spectral experimental results are presented to illustrate the performance of the ion source. The results show that the full energy particle is up to 80%—reaching its design specifications.
