Abstract
A Preliminary experiment for surface plasmon thermal wave microscopy (SPTWM) is reported. This is a new technique of nondestructive evaluation of thin films using thermal waves excited by energy conversion due to electron-phonon interaction with nonradiative surface plasmon.
