Abstract

The results are reported of one-year investingations on the productivity of fungi in communities of mown and unmown grass on exploited meadows near Warsaw of the <i>Arrhenatheretum medioeuropaeum</i> (Br.-Bl. 1919) Oberd. 1952 type. The observations were made in the course of the vegetation period in 1971. Fresh ahd rdy weight of the fruit bodies were determined as well as the weight of the ash after incineration. It was found that on the mown experimental plot the fungi produced much more organic matter than on the unmown one.
