Abstract
Toxicological mechanisms of venomous snake zoology vary largely. Obvious differences existed in the clinical manifestations of snakebite and targeted treatment methods. There are a total of 240 species of snake in China, including 69 species of venomous snake and 171 species of non-venomous snake. Due to the different climatic conditions and geographical features of different regions in China, there are significant differences in the distribution of snake species, which determines regional characteristic of the treatment of snakebite. Snakebite most commonly occurs in counties and prefecture-level cities, and the patients generally seek medical treatment in county and municipal hospitals.
