Abstract

In the Active noise control (ANC) system, filtered-x least-mean-square (FxLMS) algorithm has been used for noise control. However, an acoustic feedback path, which is from a loudspeaker to a reference microphone, makes the ANC system unstable. Although an online feedback path modeling (FBPM) method has been proposed to reduce the feedback path component, it is difficult to track the fluctuation of the acoustic path because of these methods based on FxLMS algorithm. In order to solve the problem, we introduce an online FBPM method into pre-inverse ANC (PIANC) system in this paper. Since the PIANC system controls the primary and secondary path separately unlike the FxLMS algorithm, it is easy to control the feedback path. The briefly analysis and simulation results show the proposed method can robustly control against the influence of the feedback path.
