Abstract

In Europe, the exposure levels in the general population to each cosmetic product (CP) categories are defined in the SCCS’s Notes of Guidance [1, 2]. They take into account some parameters such as the quantity of CP used at each application, the frequency of application, the duration of contact, etc.... However, no specific consideration is made for pregnant women exposed to CPs. The aim of this preliminary study is to:  verify if pregnant women could have specific cosmetic products usage patterns and compared their data to those proposed by the SCCS [1,2] and RIVM [3] for general population ;  compare the deterministic model to the probabilistic modelling based on Monte Carlo method.
