Abstract
This study examined the attitudes of 27 pregnant teens and 35 teen mothers about day care for young children. Pregnant and mothering adolescents did not differ significantly in their attitudes about day care. Older adolescents and those who preferred nonkin adults and peers as their primary source of emotional support were significantly more positive about day care. Results of this study suggest a developmental influence on teens' attitudes about day care.
