Abstract

Objective: Elevated cycle day 2- 3 (baseline) follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) is a recognized marker of diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) and is predictive of adverse outcome following IVF. Reproductive aging is independently associated with elevation in baseline FSH. We hypothesize that a diagnosis of DOR has different prognostic implications for younger versus older women, younger biological age mitigating the adverse association of FSH elevation and IVF outcome.
