Abstract
TALENTA Conference on Engineering Science and Technology (CEST) 2019 is an International conference that offers opportunity of knowledge sharing, networking and collaboration between engineers, scientists and technologists as well as academician and researcher working in the wide areas of engineering. This conference is organized by the Faculty of Engineering, University of Sumatera Utara (USU) Indonesia as an annual event to celebrate the anniversary of Faculty Engineering. The conference cover wide area of engineering: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture. The TALENTA-CEST 2019 program consists of interactive presentation sessions and keynote presentations from experts in the related field.The theme for TALENTA-CEST 2019 was sustainable infrastructure and technology for industry and community. This theme was in line with the mission from Indonesian Government to build and to improve the infrastructure in Indonesia. Along with this theme, the conference committee has selected eight sub themes including sustainable infrastructure, sustainable energy technologies, sustainable environmental management, sustainable energy policy, biomaterial, green industrial management and development, computational for energy system and material and ICT for energy system and material.TALENTA-CEST 2019 was held at Grand Aston Hotel Medan on 17th October 2019 and was attended by four keynote speakers including: Prof. Mohammed Taherzadeh from University of Boras (Sweden), Prof. Toru Matsumoto from University of KitaKyushu (Japan), Prof. Badorul Hisyam from University of Sains Malaysia (Malaysia) and Prof. Dr. Ing Johannes Tarigan from Universitas Sumatera Utara. These speakers were allocated into two keynote sessions. Furthermore, 149 authors have presented their papers in 5 parallel sessions.
