Preface

Abstract

Since the continuing adverse impact and future unpredictability of the COVID-19 pandemic around the world, the 2nd Frontiers of Electrical Power & Energy Systems 2022, organized by Beijing Institute of Technology (Zhuhai) and Zhejiang University on Nov. 29-30, 2022, which we have to move to a virtual event by using ZOOM. This was a difficult decision, but the safety and well-being of our participants is our utmost priority. We seek this conference as a platform to equip our attendees to work closely with industry, and to promote innovation in global research and education, and to provide leadership within engineering and scientific activities both nationally and internationally.The research on Electrical Power and Energy Systems is always field with the potential to cause revolutionary advances in fields of science and engineering. EPES 2022 is that an ideal place to gather new findings and ideas, discuss across the electrical power community.The program of this conference includes 3 keynote speeches (45 minutes), 41 oral presentations (15mins+3 Q&A) and 6 e-posts, which included further contributions and much discussion. It was attended online by approximately 60 scientists and engineers from all related disciplines.These accepted submissions were peer-reviewed through a double-blind review process by an international panel of expert referees and decisions were taken based on academic quality. EPES reviewers provided detailed and constructive comments for the authors to improving their papers. The topics include electrical power, electronics engineering, energy system, engineering technologies and applications in this EPES2022 proceeding. We believe these contributions are of great importance for practical applications in the future. I would like to express my deep appreciation to all members of EPES, secretaries, keynote speakers and reviewers and IOP Publishing.
