Abstract

The 2020 International Symposium on New Materials and Technology for Armours (2020 ISMTA) took place virtually on November 25-26, 2020. It was organised online due to the pandemic and travel restrictions worldwide. The objectives of the symposium were to disseminate details on the latest developments in the use and effects of novel materials for armourThe two organisers (Chairs) of the symposium were the following:Chairs - Ming Mao, Academician, China North Vehicle Research Institute, China and Adam Wiśniewski, Professor, Military Institute of Armament Technology (MIAT), Poland.The symposium comprised an Opening Ceremony followed by plenary lectures. A Closing Ceremony was conducted at the end of the symposium. In addition, papers were submitted and reviewed for publication in the symposium proceedings. Each plenary lecture was 40 minutes long with up to 10 minutes allowed for questions.
