Abstract

International Forum on Integrated Infrastructure Development (InFInID 2021): 12th International Conference on Geotechnical Engineering in Tropical Regions (GEOTROPIKA) & 2nd International Conference on Highway and Transportation Engineering (ICHITRA) 21-22 September 2021, Semarang, Indonesia The 12th International Conference on Geotechnical Engineering in Tropical Regions (GEOTROPIKA) and 2nd International Conference on Highway and Transportation Engineering (ICHITRA) 2021 was expected to take place in Semarang Indonesia. However, due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the conference has been changed to a hybrid platform where it involved both physical presentation which was held in Semarang, Indonesia and also virtual presentation using ZOOM application platform. This conference has been organized by Department of Geotechnics and Transportation, School of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universitas Islam Sultan Agung (UNISSULA) in collaboration with Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and Hanze University of Applied Sciences.The conference had brought together about 100 scholars and engineers in the field of Geotechnics and Transportation from various countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Iraq, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Japan and Germany. The conference consisted of plenary and parallel sessions. It involved 4 keynote speakers who shared their latest research results and experiences in related research fields. The parallel sessions were conducted in 3 different Zoom conference rooms. Each room was led by a chairperson and co-chairperson. Each participant was given 10 minutes to present the paper followed by a discussion session led by the chairperson. The conference received over 70 abstracts and submission of 60 full papers. All the papers have gone through a rigorous review process to meet the requirements of international publication standards.List of Editorial Board Geotropika – Ichitra (2021) are available in this pdf.
