Abstract
The First International Conference on Vocational Education of Mechanical and Automotive Technology (ICOVEMAT) 2018 is a scientific event to gain collaboration among academics; graduate students; researcher and people from industry on the topics of mechanical engineering and automotive Technology with emphasizes on vocational education. The ICOVEMAT-2018 organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering Education and Department of Automotive Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering is successfully held in Yogyakarta State University, Indonesia, during October 20th, 2018. The ICOVEMAT-2018 theme is “Innovation and Development of Vocational Education of Mechanical and Automotive Technology for Better Future”.This volume of Journal of Physics: Conference Series by IOP Publisher consists of the selected and peer-reviewed papers presented at the ICOVEMAT-2018. There are 84 papers that have been carefully peer reviewed and selected from 110 submissions to the conference. They are classified into four sections:Section 1: Vocational Education of Mechanical and Automotive TechnologySection 2: Mechanical Technology DevelopmentSection 3: Automotive Technology DevelopmentSection 4: Basic Science EngineeringThe success of the ICOVEMAT-2018 is due to the support of many people i.e. Steering Committee members, Program Committee members, Organizing Committee members, authors, presenters, participants, keynote speakers, student committee, and people in other various roles.
