Preface

Abstract

This Proceedings presents the written contributions of the participants of 2023 5th International Conference on Energy Systems and Electrical Power (ICESEP 2023) which was held in the form of virtual conference from May 19th to 21st, 2023 in Changsha city, China, supported by Tianjin University, China. This was the fifth version of the annual meetings that began in 2019.The three-day scientific program of the ICESEP 2023 consisted of keynote speeches, oral presentations, poster presentations and academic investigation with the participation of delegates from China, Malaysia, Turkey, India, Iran, among others. Moreover, the objective of ICESEP 2023 was to bring together national and international researchers in order to establish a network of scientific cooperation with a global impact in the areas of energy systems and electrical power; to promote the exchange of creative ideas and the effective transfer of scientific knowledge, from fundamental research to innovation applied to energy and power solutions and to advance in the development of new research by means of efficient transference of the knowledge between sectors academia and industry.At the keynote speech part of the Conference, each keynote speaker performed their speeches and exchanged views with the attendees: Professor Ting Yang (Tianjin University, China) addressed a keynote speech on Technology of Cyber Physics System and Application in Energy Systems, Professor Behnam Mohammadi-Ivatloo (University of Tabriz, Iran) on Impact of Distributed Electrolyzers in Power Systems, Professor Haidar Samet (Shiraz University, Iran) on The Time-varying Power System, and Professor Ghanim Putrus (Northumbria University, UK) on Smart Integration of Energy and Transport Systems. Their brilliant speeches made the attendees feel like bathing in a feast of knowledge.The Proceedings consists of quantities of contributions that were presented as speeches or presentations at the Conference or as publications in the paper volume. All papers published in this volume of Journal of Physics: Conference Series have been peer reviewed through processes administered by the Proceedings Editors. Reviews were conducted by expert referees to the professional and scientific standards expected of Journal of Physics: Conference Series.The topics of papers collected in this volume cover but are not limited to: Thermal and Power Engineering, Energy Storage Technologies, Power System Planning and Scheduling, Electrical Engineering Theory and New Technologies, etc.We would like to thank the members of reviewers for their kind assistance in reviewing the papers. We would also extend our best gratitude to the keynote speakers for their invaluable contribution and worthwhile ideas shared in the Conference.
