Abstract
This Special Issue of Psychologica Belgica is a Festschrift in honour ofAndré Vandierendonck’s scientific and institutional contributions to cognitivepsychology. It is a collection of scientific papers that represent the lecturesincluded in the International Symposium André Vandierendonck: WorkingMemory and Executive Control, which took place on September 20th 2010,at Ghent University. We are grateful to Etienne Quertemont, Editor-in-Chiefof Psychologica Belgica, for supporting this special issue, to the contributingauthors for giving us the opportunity to include their valuable work inthis Festschrift, and to the reviewers who devoted their time to optimise theoutcome.
