We are pleased to introduce the Proceedings of the International research conference «International scientific and practical conference for young specialists, scientists and post-graduates on nuclear reactor physics (ICNRP Volga 2020)» organized by the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) and held on September 7-11, 2020.The conference is held every two years and has more than 40-year history. The main participants are students, graduate students and young scientists, which represent universities, research institutes and scientific organizations. The conference aims to provide an opportunity to exchange experience in the design, operation and modeling of nuclear reactors. The conference is dedicated to the sustainable development of nuclear technologies, topical issues and trends in the field of nuclear reactors physics and the nuclear fuel cycle.Representatives of research organizations and universities from eight countries (Russia, Germany, Norway, Jordan, Egypt, Belarus, Vietnam, and Algeria) presented their reports on various topics. The major topics are features of fast reactors, advanced nuclear reactor design, challenges in closed fuel cycle implementation and computational reactor tests, codes and databases. Over 110 participants from 21 organizations attended the conference. More than 100 reports were presented. Due to COVID-19 based restrictions the conference held online via video communication platform.
