Abstract
We are very grateful that our 2nd Conference on Tropical Resources and Sustainable Sciences (CTReSS 2.0) held in Kelantan, Malaysia on 10th till 11th August 2020 was successfully organised. This conference was organised by Faculty of Earth Science, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) with collaboration Research Management and Innovation Centre, UMK provided an international forum for experimental and theoretical researchers/stakeholders to exchange ideas pertaining to sustainable science and natural resource management.Aligning with a National Policy on Biodiversity 2016 and National Policy on the Environment 2002, “Protecting and Conserving the Environment for Sustainable Living” was a theme of this conference emphasising on sustainable development future enhancement and better living standards. The main goal of this conference was to explore and scrutinise the current issues of natural resource management from environmental, social and economic perspectives. It can be described as the needs to prepare the world for future generation to continue the responsibility to make the world a better place to live.Through this conference, ideas, initial outcome, research products and sustainable development policies were coined, and solutions to preserve our dying nature were recommended. Perhaps it can be further enhanced to be applied and implemented locally and globally. Thus, we have to ensure that we conduct the necessary steps towards sustainability of the world in whatever discipline and role that we have.We would like to extend our profound gratitude to the authors, reviewers participants, organisers, sponsors, supporting partners and the conference management team for their enthusiasm and synergistic efforts in ensuring the conference successfulness. We hope this conference was fruitful for everyone and we expect to meet again in the future.Chairman of CTReSS 2.0
